В начале сотворил Бог небо и землю.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Im Anfang schuf Gott die Himmel und die Erde.

Земля же была безвидна и пуста, и тьма над бездною, и Дух Божий носился над водою.

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Die Erde aber war wüst und leer, und es lag Finsternis auf der Tiefe; und der Geist Gottes schwebte über den Wassern.

И сказал Бог: да будет свет. И стал свет.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

Und Gott sprach: Es werde Licht! Und es wurde Licht.

И увидел Бог свет, что он хорош, и отделил Бог свет от тьмы.

God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

Und Gott sah, dass das Licht gut war; da schied Gott das Licht von der Finsternis.

И назвал Бог свет днём, а тьму ночью. И был вечер, и было утро: день один.

God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.”

Und Gott nannte das Licht Tag, und die Finsternis nannte er Nacht.

И был вечер, и было утро: день один.

And there was evening, and there was morning — the first day.

Und es wurde Abend, und es wurde Morgen: der erste Tag.

И сказал Бог: да будет твердь посреди воды, и да отделяет она воду от воды.

And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.”

Und Gott sprach: Es werde eine Ausdehnung inmitten der Wasser, die bilde eine Scheidung zwischen den Wassern!

И создал Бог твердь, и отделил воду, которая под твердью, от воды, которая над твердью. И стало так.

So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so.

Und Gott machte die Ausdehnung und schied das Wasser unter der Ausdehnung von dem Wasser über der Ausdehnung. Und es geschah so.

И назвал Бог твердь небом.

God called the vault “sky.”

Und Gott nannte die Ausdehnung Himmel.

И был вечер, и было утро: день второй.

And there was evening, and there was morning — the second day.

Und es wurde Abend, und es wurde Morgen: der zweite Tag.

И сказал Бог: да соберется вода, которая под небом, в одно место, и да явится суша. И стало так.

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.

Und Gott sprach: Es sammle sich das Wasser unter dem Himmel an einen Ort, damit man das Trockene sehe! Und es geschah so.

И назвал Бог сушу землею, а собрание вод назвал морями.

God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.”

Und Gott nannte das Trockene Erde; aber die Sammlung der Wasser nannte er Meer.

И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

And God saw that it was good.

Und Gott sah, dass es gut war.

И сказал Бог: да произрастит земля зелень, траву, сеющую семя, и дерево плодовитое, приносящее по роду своему плод, в котором семя его на земле. И стало так.

Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.

Und Gott sprach: Die Erde lasse Gras sprießen und Gewächs, das Samen hervorbringt, fruchttragende Bäume auf der Erde, von denen jeder seine Früchte bringt nach seiner Art, in denen ihr Same ist! Und es geschah so.

И произвела земля зелень, траву, сеющую семя по роду её, и дерево, приносящее плод, в котором семя его по роду его.

The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.

Und die Erde brachte Gras und Gewächs hervor, das Samen trägt nach seiner Art, und Bäume, die Früchte bringen, in denen ihr Same ist nach ihrer Art.

И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

And God saw that it was good.

Und Gott sah, dass es gut war.

И был вечер, и было утро: день третий.

And there was evening, and there was morning — the third day.

Und es wurde Abend, und es wurde Morgen: der dritte Tag.

И сказал Бог: да будут светила на тверди небесной для отделения дня от ночи, и для знамений, и времен, и дней, и годов.

And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years.

Und Gott sprach: Es sollen Lichter an der Himmelsausdehnung sein, zur Unterscheidung von Tag und Nacht, die sollen als Zeichen dienen und zur Bestimmung der Zeiten und der Tage und Jahre.

И да будут они светильниками на тверди небесной, чтобы светить на землю. И стало так.

And let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so.

und als Leuchten an der Himmelsausdehnung, dass sie die Erde beleuchten! Und es geschah so.

И создал Бог два светила великие: светило большее, для управления днём, и светило меньшее, для управления ночью, и звёзды; и поставил их Бог на тверди небесной, чтобы светить на землю, и управлять днем и ночью, и отделять свет от тьмы.

God made two great lights — the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness.

Und Gott machte die zwei großen Lichter, das große Licht zur Beherrschung des Tages und das kleinere Licht zur Beherrschung der Nacht; dazu die Sterne. Und Gott setzte sie an die Himmelsausdehnung, damit sie die Erde beleuchten 18 und den Tag und die Nacht beherrschen und Licht und Finsternis scheiden.

И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

And God saw that it was good.

Und Gott sah, dass es gut war.

И был вечер, и было утро: день четвёртый.

And there was evening, and there was morning — the fourth day.

Und es wurde Abend, und es wurde Morgen: der vierte Tag.

И сказал Бог: да произведёт вода пресмыкающихся, душу живую; и птицы да полетят над землёю по тверди небесной.

And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.”

Und Gott sprach: Das Wasser soll wimmeln von einer Fülle lebender Wesen, und es sollen Vögel dahinfliegen über die Erde an der Himmelsausdehnung!

И сотворил Бог рыб больших и всякую душу животных пресмыкающихся, которых произвела вода, по роду их, и всякую птицу пернатую по роду её.

So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind.

Und Gott schuf die großen Meerestiere und alle lebenden Wesen, die sich regen, von denen das Wasser wimmelt, nach ihrer Art, dazu allerlei Vögel mit Flügeln nach ihrer Art.

И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

And God saw that it was good.

Und Gott sah, dass es gut war.

И благословил их Бог, говоря: плодитесь и размножайтесь, и наполняйте воды в морях, и птицы да размножаются на земле.

God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.

Und Gott segnete sie und sprach: Seid fruchtbar und mehrt euch und füllt das Wasser in den Meeren, und die Vögel sollen sich mehren auf der Erde!

И был вечер, и было утро: день пятый.

And there was evening, and there was morning — the fifth day.

Und es wurde Abend, und es wurde Morgen: der fünfte Tag.

И сказал Бог: да произведёт земля душу живую по роду её, скотов, и гадов, и зверей земных по роду их. И стало так.

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.

Und Gott sprach: Die Erde bringe lebende Wesen hervor nach ihrer Art, Vieh, Gewürm und Tiere der Erde nach ihrer Art! Und es geschah so.

И создал Бог зверей земных по роду их, и скот по роду его, и всех гадов земных по роду их.

God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds.

Und Gott machte die Tiere der Erde nach ihrer Art und das Vieh nach seiner Art und alles Gewürm des Erdbodens nach seiner Art.

И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

And God saw that it was good.

Und Gott sah, dass es gut war.

И сказал Бог: сотворим человека по образу Нашему, по подобию Нашему, и да владычествуют они над рыбами морскими, и над птицами небесными, и над скотом, и над всею землею, и над всеми гадами, пресмыкающимися по земле.

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Und Gott sprach: Lasst uns Menschen machen nach unserem Bild, uns ähnlich; die sollen herrschen über die Fische im Meer und über die Vögel des Himmels und über das Vieh und über die ganze Erde, auch über alles Gewürm, das auf der Erde kriecht!

И сотворил Бог человека по образу Своему, по образу Божию сотворил его; мужчину и женщину сотворил их.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Und Gott schuf den Menschen in seinem Bild, im Bild Gottes schuf er ihn; als Mann und Frau schuf er sie.

И благословил их Бог, и сказал им Бог: плодитесь и размножайтесь, и наполняйте землю, и обладайте ею, и владычествуйте над рыбами морскими и над птицами небесными, и над всяким животным, пресмыкающимся по земле.

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Und Gott segnete sie; und Gott sprach zu ihnen: Seid fruchtbar und mehrt euch und füllt die Erde und macht sie euch untertan; und herrscht über die Fische im Meer und über die Vögel des Himmels und über alles Lebendige, das sich regt auf der Erde!

И сказал Бог: вот, Я дал вам всякую траву, сеющую семя, какая есть на всей земле, и всякое дерево, у которого плод древесный, сеющий семя; – вам сие будет в пищу; а всем зверям земным, и всем птицам небесным, и всякому [гаду,] пресмыкающемуся по земле, в котором душа живая, дал Я всю зелень травную в пищу. И стало так.

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground — everything that has the breath of life in it — I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

Und Gott sprach: Siehe, ich habe euch alles samentragende Gewächs gegeben, das auf der ganzen Erdoberfläche wächst, auch alle Bäume, an denen samentragende Früchte sind. Sie sollen euch zur Nahrung dienen; aber allen Tieren der Erde und allen Vögeln des Himmels und allem, was sich regt auf der Erde, allem, in dem eine lebendige Seele ist, habe ich jedes grüne Kraut zur Nahrung gegeben! Und es geschah so.

И увидел Бог все, что Он создал, и вот, хорошо весьма. И был вечер, и было утро: день шестой.

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning — the sixth day.

Und Gott sah alles, was er gemacht hatte; und siehe, es war sehr gut. Und es wurde Abend, und es wurde Morgen: der sechste Tag.

Глава 2

Так совершены небо и земля и все воинство их.

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.

So wurden der Himmel und die Erde vollendet samt ihrem ganzen Heer.

И совершил Бог к седьмому дню дела Свои, которые Он делал, и почил в день седьмой от всех дел Своих, которые делал.

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.

Und Gott hatte am siebten Tag sein Werk vollendet, das er gemacht hatte; und er ruhte am siebten Tag von seinem ganzen Werk, das er gemacht hatte.

³ И благословил Бог седьмой день, и освятил его, ибо в оный почил от всех дел Своих, которые Бог творил и созидал.

Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

Und Gott segnete den siebten Tag und heiligte ihn, denn an ihm ruhte er von seinem ganzen Werk, das Gott schuf, als er es machte.

Вот происхождение неба и земли, при сотворении их, в то время, когда Господь Бог создал землю и небо, и всякий полевой кустарник, которого ещё не было на земле, и всякую полевую траву, которая ещё не росла, ибо Господь Бог не посылал дождя на землю, и не было человека для возделывания земли, но пар поднимался с земли и орошал всё лицо земли.

This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the Lord God made the earth and the heavens. Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground.

Dies ist die Geschichte des Himmels und der Erde, als sie geschaffen wurden, zu der Zeit, als Gott der Herr Erde und Himmel machte. Es war aber noch kein Strauch des Feldes gewachsen auf der Erde, noch irgend ein Kraut auf dem Feld; denn Gott der Herr hatte es noch nicht regnen lassen auf der Erde, und es war kein Mensch da, um das Land zu bebauen. Aber ein Dunst stieg beständig von der Erde auf und bewässerte die ganze Fläche des Erdbodens.

И создал Господь Бог человека из праха земного, и вдунул в лицо его дыхание жизни, и стал человек душою живою.

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Da bildete Gott der Herr den Menschen, Staub von der Erde, und blies den Odem des Lebens in seine Nase, und so wurde der Mensch eine lebendige Seele.

И насадил Господь Бог рай в Едеме на востоке, и поместил там человека, которого создал.

Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.

Und Gott der Herr pflanzte einen Garten in Eden, im Osten, und setzte den Menschen dorthin, den er gemacht hatte.

И произрастил Господь Бог из земли всякое дерево, приятное на вид и хорошее для пищи, и дерево жизни посреди рая, и дерево познания добра и зла.

The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground — trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Und Gott der Herr ließ allerlei Bäume aus der Erde hervorsprießen, lieblich anzusehen und gut zur Nahrung, und auch den Baum des Lebens mitten im Garten und den Baum der Erkenntnis des Guten und Bösen.

Из Едема выходила река для орошения рая; и потом разделялась на четыре реки.

A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters.

Es ging aber ein Strom aus von Eden, um den Garten zu bewässern; von dort aber teilte er sich und wurde zu vier Hauptströmen.

Имя одной Фисон: она обтекает всю землю Хавила, ту, где золото; и золото той земли хорошее; там бдолах и камень оникс.

The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.

Der erste heißt Pison; das ist der, welcher das ganze Land Hawila umfließt, wo das Gold ist; und das Gold dieses Landes ist gut; dort kommt auch das Bedolach-Harz vor und der Edelstein Onyx.

Имя второй реки Гихон: она обтекает всю землю Куш.

The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush.

Der zweite Strom heißt Gihon; das ist der, welcher das ganze Land Kusch umfließt.

Имя третьей реки Хиддекель: она протекает пред Ассирией.

The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur.

Der dritte Strom heißt Tigris; das ist der, welcher östlich von Assur fließt.

Четвертая река Евфрат.

And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

Der vierte Strom ist der Euphrat.

И взял Господь Бог человека, и поселил его в саду Едемском, чтобы возделывать его и хранить его.

The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

Und Gott der Herr nahm den Menschen und setzte ihn in den Garten Eden, damit er ihn bebaue und bewahre.

И заповедал Господь Бог человеку, говоря: от всякого дерева в саду ты будешь есть, а от дерева познания добра и зла, не ешь от него, ибо в день, в который ты вкусишь от него, смертью умрёшь.

And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Und Gott der Herr gebot dem Menschen und sprach: Von jedem Baum des Gartens darfst du nach Belieben essen; aber von dem Baum der Erkenntnis des Guten und des Bösen sollst du nicht essen; denn an dem Tag, da du davon isst, mußt du gewisslich sterben!

И сказал Господь Бог: не хорошо быть человеку одному; сотворим ему помощника, соответственного ему.

The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Und Gott der Herr sprach: Es ist nicht gut, daß der Mensch allein sei; ich will ihm eine Gehilfin machen, die ihm entspricht!

Господь Бог образовал из земли всех животных полевых и всех птиц небесных, и привёл их к человеку, чтобы видеть, как он назовёт их, и чтобы, как наречёт человек всякую душу живую, так и было имя ей.

Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.

Und Gott der Herr bildete aus dem Erdboden alle Tiere des Feldes und alle Vögel des Himmels und brachte sie zu dem Menschen, um zu sehen, wie er sie nennen würde, und damit jedes lebendige Wesen den Namen trage, den der Mensch ihm gebe.

И нарёк человек имена всем скотам и птицам небесным и всем зверям полевым; но для человека не нашлось помощника, подобного ему.

So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.

Da gab der Mensch jedem Vieh und Vogel des Himmels und allen Tieren des Feldes Namen; aber für den Menschen fand sich keine Gehilfin, die ihm entsprochen hätte.

И навёл Господь Бог на человека крепкий сон; и, когда он уснул, взял одно из рёбер его, и закрыл то место плотию.

So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh.

Da ließ Gott der Herr einen tiefen Schlaf auf den Menschen fallen; und während er schlief, nahm er eine seiner Rippen und verschloß ihre Stelle mit Fleisch.

И создал Господь Бог из ребра, взятого у человека, жену, и привёл ее к человеку.

Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

Und Gott der Herr bildete die Rippe, die er von dem Menschen genommen hatte, zu einer Frau und brachte sie zu dem Menschen.

И сказал человек: вот, это кость от костей моих и плоть от плоти моей; она будет называться женою, ибо взята от мужа.

The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”

Da sprach der Mensch: Das ist endlich Gebein von meinem Gebein und Fleisch von meinem Fleisch! Die soll »Männin« heißen; denn vom Mann ist sie genommen!

Потому оставит человек отца своего и мать свою и прилепится к жене своей; и будут двое одна плоть.

That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

Darum wird ein Mann seinen Vater und seine Mutter verlassen und seiner Frau anhängen, und sie werden ein Fleisch sein.

И были оба наги, Адам и жена его, и не стыдились.

Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

Und sie waren beide nackt, der Mensch und seine Frau, und sie schämten sich nicht.

Глава 3

Змей был хитрее всех зверей полевых, которых создал Господь Бог.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.

Aber die Schlange war listiger als alle Tiere des Feldes, die Gott der Herr gemacht hatte.

И сказал змей жене: подлинно ли сказал Бог: не ешьте ни от какого дерева в раю?

The serpent said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

Und die Schlange sprach zu der Frau: Sollte Gott wirklich gesagt haben, dass ihr von keinem Baum im Garten essen dürft?

И сказала жена змею: плоды с дерев мы можем есть, только плодов дерева, которое среди рая, сказал Бог, не ешьте их и не прикасайтесь к ним, чтобы вам не умереть.

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”

Da sprach die Frau zur Schlange: Von der Frucht der Bäume im Garten dürfen wir essen; aber von der Frucht des Baumes, der in der Mitte des Gartens ist, hat Gott gesagt: Esst nicht davon und rührt sie auch nicht an, damit ihr nicht sterbt!

И сказал змей жене: нет, не умрёте, но знает Бог, что в день, в который вы вкусите их, откроются глаза ваши, и вы будете, как боги, знающие добро и зло.

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Da sprach die Schlange zu der Frau: Keineswegs werdet ihr sterben! Sondern Gott weiß: An dem Tag, da ihr davon esst, werden euch die Augen geöffnet, und ihr werdet sein wie Gott und werdet erkennen, was gut und böse ist!

И увидела жена, что дерево хорошо для пищи, и что оно приятно для глаз и вожделенно, потому что дает знание; и взяла плодов его и ела; и дала также мужу своему, и он ел.

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Und die Frau sah, dass von dem Baum gut zu essen wäre, und dass er eine Lust für die Augen und ein begehrenswerter Baum wäre, weil er weise macht; und sie nahm von seiner Frucht und aß, und sie gab davon auch ihrem Mann, der bei ihr war, und er aß.

И открылись глаза у них обоих, и узнали они, что наги, и сшили смоковные листья, и сделали себе опоясания.

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Da wurden ihnen beiden die Augen geöffnet, und sie erkannten, dass sie nackt waren; und sie banden sich Feigenblätter um und machten sich Schurze.

И услышали голос Господа Бога, ходящего в раю во время прохлады дня; и скрылся Адам и жена его от лица Господа Бога между деревьями рая.

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Und sie hörten die Stimme Gottes des Herrn, der im Garten wandelte, als der Tag kühl war; und der Mensch und seine Frau versteckten sich vor dem Angesicht Gottes des Herrn hinter den Bäumen des Gartens.

И воззвал Господь Бог к Адаму и сказал ему: Где ты?

But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

Da rief Gott der Herr den Menschen und sprach: Wo bist du?

Он сказал: голос Твой я услышал в раю, и убоялся, потому что я наг, и скрылся.

He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

Und er antwortete: Ich hörte deine Stimme im Garten und fürchtete mich, denn ich bin nackt; darum habe ich mich verborgen!

И сказал: кто сказал тебе, что ты наг?

And he said, “Who told you that you were naked?

Da sprach er: Wer hat dir gesagt, dass du nackt bist?

Не ел ли ты от дерева, с которого Я запретил тебе есть?

Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

Hast du etwa von dem Baum gegessen, von dem ich dir geboten habe, du solltest nicht davon essen?

Адам сказал: жена, которую Ты мне дал, она дала мне от дерева, и я ел.

The man said, “The woman you put here with me — she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”

Da antwortete der Mensch: Die Frau, die du mir zur Seite gegeben hast, die gab mir von dem Baum, und ich aß!

И сказал Господь Бог жене: что ты это сделала?

Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

Da sprach Gott der Herr zu der Frau: Warum hast du das getan?

Жена сказала: змей обольстил меня, и я ела.

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Die Frau antwortete: Die Schlange hat mich verführt; da habe ich gegessen!

И сказал Господь Бог змею: за то, что ты сделал это, проклят ты пред всеми скотами и пред всеми зверями полевыми.

So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals!

Da sprach Gott der Herr zur Schlange: Weil du dies getan hast, so sollst du verflucht sein mehr als alles Vieh und mehr als alle Tiere des Feldes!

Ты будешь ходить на чреве твоём, и будешь есть прах во все дни жизни твоей.

You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.

Auf deinem Bauch sollst du kriechen und Staub sollst du fressen dein Leben lang

И вражду положу между тобою и между женою, и между семенем твоим и между семенем её; оно будет поражать тебя в голову, а ты будешь жалить его в пяту.

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Und ich will Feindschaft setzen zwischen dir und der Frau, zwischen deinem Samen und ihrem Samen: Er wird dir den Kopf zertreten, und du wirst ihn in die Ferse stechen.

Жене сказал: умножая умножу скорбь твою в беременности твоей; в болезни будешь рождать детей; и к мужу твоему влечение твое, и он будет господствовать над тобою.

To the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”

Und zur Frau sprach er: Ich will die Mühen deiner Schwangerschaft sehr groß machen; mit Schmerzen sollst du Kinder gebären; und dein Verlangen wird auf deinen Mann gerichtet sein, er aber soll über dich herrschen!

Быт. Адаму же сказал: за то, что ты послушал голоса жены твоей и ел от дерева, о котором Я заповедал тебе, сказав: не ешь от него, проклята земля за тебя; со скорбью будешь питаться от нее во все дни жизни твоей; терния и волчцы произрастит она тебе; и будешь питаться полевою травою.

To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.

В поте лица твоего будешь есть хлеб, доколе не возвратишься в землю, из которой ты взят, ибо прах ты и в прах возвратишься.

By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.

Im Schweiße deines Angesichts sollst du dein Brot essen, bis du wieder zurückkehrst zum Erdboden; denn von ihm bist du genommen. Denn du bist Staub, und zum Staub wirst du wieder zurückkehren!

И нарёк Адам имя жене своей: Ева ибо она стала матерью всех живущих.

Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.

Und der Mensch gab seiner Frau den Namen Eva; denn sie wurde die Mutter aller Lebendigen.

И сделал Господь Бог Адаму и жене его одежды кожаные и одел их.

The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.

Und Gott der Herr machte Adam und seiner Frau Kleider aus Fell und bekleidete sie.

И сказал Господь Бог: вот, Адам стал как один из Нас, зная добро и зло; и теперь как бы не простер он руки своей, и не взял также от дерева жизни, и не вкусил, и не стал жить вечно.

And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

Und Gott der Herr sprach: Siehe, der Mensch ist geworden wie unsereiner, indem er erkennt, was gut und böse ist; nun aber – dass er nur nicht seine Hand ausstrecke und auch vom Baum des Lebens nehme und esse und ewig lebe!

И выслал его Господь Бог из сада Едемского, чтобы возделывать землю, из которой он взят.

So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.

So schickte ihn Gott der Herr aus dem Garten Eden, damit er den Erdboden bearbeite, von dem er genommen war.

Быт.3:24 И изгнал Адама, и поставил на востоке у сада Едемского Херувима и пламенный меч обращающийся, чтобы охранять путь к дереву жизни.

After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Und er vertrieb den Menschen und ließ östlich vom Garten Eden die Cherubim lagern und die Flamme des blitzenden Schwertes, um den Weg zum Baum des Lebens zu bewachen.

Глава 4

Адам познал Еву, жену свою; и она зачала, и родила Каина, и сказала: приобрела я человека от Господа.

Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, “With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man.”

Und Adam erkannte seine Frau Eva; und sie wurde schwanger und gebar den Kain. Und sie sprach: Ich habe einen Mann erworben mit der Hilfe des Herrn!

И ещё родила брата его, Авеля.

Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.

Und weiter gebar sie seinen Bruder Abel.

И был Авель пастырь овец, а Каин был земледелец.

Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil.

Und Abel wurde ein Schafhirte, Kain aber ein Ackerbauer.

Спустя несколько времени, Каин принёс от плодов земли дар Господу.

In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord.

Und es geschah nach geraumer Zeit, dass Kain dem Herrn ein Opfer von den Früchten des Erdbodens darbrachte.

И Авель также принёс от первородных стада своего и от тука их.

And Abel also brought an offering — fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock.

Und auch Abel brachte ein Opfer dar von den Erstlingen seiner Schafe und von ihrem Fett.

И призрел Господь на Авеля и на дар его, а на Каина и на дар его не призрел.

The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor.

Und der Herr sah Abel und sein Opfer an; aber Kain und sein Opfer sah er nicht an.

Каин сильно огорчился, и поникло лицо его.

So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

Da wurde Kain sehr wütend, und sein Angesicht senkte sich.

И сказал Господь Каину: почему ты огорчился? И отчего поникло лице твоё?

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?”

Und der Herr sprach zu Kain: Warum bist du so wütend, und warum senkt sich dein Angesicht?

Если делаешь доброе, то не поднимаешь ли лица?

If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?

Wenn du Gutes tust, so darfst du dein Haupt erheben?

А если не делаешь доброго, то у дверей грех лежит; он влечёт тебя к себе, но ты господствуй над ним.

But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.

Wenn du aber nicht Gutes tust, so lauert die Sünde vor der Tür, und ihr Verlangen ist auf dich gerichtet; du aber sollst über sie herrschen!

И сказал Каин Авелю, брату своему: пойдем в поле.

Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.”

Und Kain redete mit seinem Bruder Abel; und es geschah, als sie auf dem Feld waren.

И когда они были в поле, восстал Каин на Авеля, брата своего, и убил его.

While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Da erhob sich Kain gegen seinen Bruder Abel und schlug ihn tot.

И сказал Господь Каину: где Авель, брат твой?

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”

Da sprach der Herr zu Kain: Wo ist dein Bruder Abel?

Он сказал: не знаю; разве я сторож брату моему?

“I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

Er antwortete: Ich weiß es nicht! Soll ich meines Bruders Hüter sein?

И сказал Господь: что ты сделал?

The Lord said, “What have you done?

Er aber sprach: Was hast du getan?

Голос крови брата твоего вопиёт ко Мне от земли.

Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.

Horch! Die Stimme des Blutes deines Bruders schreit zu mir von dem Erdboden!

И ныне проклят ты от земли, которая отверзла уста свои принять кровь брата твоего от руки твоей.

Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.

Und nun sollst du verflucht sein von dem Erdboden hinweg, der seinen Mund aufgetan hat, um das Blut deines Bruders von deiner Hand zu empfangen!

Когда ты будешь возделывать землю, она не станет более давать силы своей для тебя; ты будешь изгнанником и скитальцем на земле.

When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.”

Wenn du den Erdboden bebaust, soll er dir künftig seinen Ertrag nicht mehr geben; ruhelos und flüchtig sollst du sein auf der Erde!

И сказал Каин Господу: наказание мое больше, нежели снести можно.

Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I can bear.

Und Kain sprach zum Herrn: Meine Strafe ist zu groß, als dass ich sie tragen könnte!

Вот, Ты теперь сгоняешь меня с лица земли, и от лица Твоего я скроюсь, и буду изгнанником и скитальцем на земле.

Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence.

Siehe, du vertreibst mich heute vom Erdboden, und ich muss mich vor deinem Angesicht verbergen und ruhelos und flüchtig sein auf der Erde.

И всякий, кто встретится со мною, убьёт меня.

And whoever finds me will kill me.”

Und es wird geschehen, daß mich totschlägt, wer mich findet!

И сказал ему Господь: за то всякому, кто убьёт Каина, отмстится всемеро.

But the Lord said to him, “Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.”

Da sprach der Herr zu ihm: Fürwahr, wer Kain totschlägt, der zieht sich siebenfache Rache zu!

И сделал Господь Каину знамение, чтобы никто, встретившись с ним, не убил его.

Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.

Und der Herr gab dem Kain ein Zeichen, damit ihn niemand erschlage, wenn er ihn fände.

И пошёл Каин от лица Господня и поселился в земле Нод, на восток от Едема.

So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Und Kain ging hinweg von dem Angesicht des Herrn und wohnte im Land Nod, östlich von Eden.

И познал Каин жену свою; и она зачала и родила Еноха.

Cain made love to his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch.

Und Kain erkannte seine Frau; die wurde schwanger und gebar den Henoch.

И построил он город; и назвал город по имени сына своего: Енох.

Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch.

Und er baute eine Stadt und nannte sie nach dem Namen seines Sohnes Henoch.

У Еноха родился Ирад; Ирад родил Мехиаеля; Мехиаель родил Мафусала; Мафусал родил Ламеха.

To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech.

Dem Henoch aber wurde Irad geboren, und Irad zeugte Mehujael; Mehujael zeugte Methusael, und Methusael zeugte Lamech.

И взял себе Ламех две жены: имя одной: Ада, и имя второй: Цилла.

Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah.

Lamech aber nahm sich zwei Frauen: die eine hieß Ada, die andere Zilla.

Ада родила Иавала: он был отец живущих в шатрах со стадами.

Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock.

Und Ada gebar den Jabal; der wurde der Vater der Zeltbewohner und Herdenbesitzer.

Имя брату его Иувал: он был отец всех играющих на гуслях и свирели.

His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play stringed instruments and pipes.

Und sein Bruder hieß Jubal; der wurde der Vater aller Harfen- und Flötenspieler.

Цилла также родила Тувалкаина, который был ковачом всех орудий из меди и железа.

Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron.

Und auch Zilla gebar, und zwar den Tubal-Kain, den Meister aller Handwerker in Erz und Eisen.

И сестра Тувалкаина Ноема.

Tubal-Cain’s sister was Naamah.

Und die Schwester Tubal-Kains war Naama.

И сказал Ламех женам своим: Ада и Цилла! послушайте голоса моего; жёны Ламеховы! Внимайте словам моим: я убил мужа в язву мне и отрока в рану мне.

Lamech said to his wives, “Adah and Zillah, listen to me; wives of Lamech, hear my words. I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for injuring me.

Und Lamech sprach zu seinen Frauen: »Ada und Zilla, hört meine Stimme! Ihr Frauen Lamechs, vernehmt meinen Spruch! Einen Mann erschlug ich, weil er mich verwundet, einen jungen Mann, weil er mich geschlagen hat!

Если за Каина отмстится всемеро, то за Ламеха в семьдесят раз всемеро.

If Cain is avenged seven times, then Lamech seventy-seven times.”

Denn Kain wird siebenfach gerächt, Lamech aber siebenundsiebzigfach!«

И познал Адам ещё жену свою, и она родила сына, и нарекла ему имя: Сиф, потому что, говорила она: «Бог положил мне другое семя, вместо Авеля, которого убил Каин».

Adam made love to his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, saying, “God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him.”

Und Adam erkannte seine Frau nochmals; die gebar einen Sohn und nannte ihn Seth: »Denn Gott hat mir für Abel einen anderen Samen gesetzt, weil Kain ihn umgebracht hat«.

У Сифа также родился сын, и он нарек ему имя: Енос.

Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh.

Und auch dem Seth wurde ein Sohn geboren, den nannte er Enosch.

Енос; тогда начали призывать имя Господа.

At that time people began to call on the name of the Lord.

Damals fing man an, den Namen des Herrn anzurufen.
